Light At The End of The Tunnel!

There was a true life’s story of hope in Chile back in 2010, when the mine completely collapsed and there were miners – men who were working got trapped underground. They were trapped 650 metres underground for a very long time. It was like a prison to them because they could not get out of the trap by themselves. So they had to survive based on whatever they had, still in the mine.

However, they kept believing that they will get out because external contact was made when people drilled some boreholes down to where they were and sent food and camera etc to them. After 69 long days. The newspaper reports: “Day 70 is the dawn of hope”. Shafts were built right to the underground – 650 m down and one by one, every one of the 33 Chilean miners were saved. None was lost, none gave up hope because all along they had hoped that they would emerge out of their underground prison.

Hope is vital to living, it’s a powerful motivation to life. Where there is hope, there is life. Why do people give up on their lives? Why do people commit suicide? Is it because circumstances of life are difficult to sail through? They give up on their lives because they see no hope. The problem is not so much difficult circumstances, but that they see that their difficult circumstance won’t change.

Furthermore, a wise person puts himself or herself together in times of distress or adversity. Giving in to self pity, could be detrimental to achieving your vision. Therefore, it pays to occupy yourself with things that will keep you very busy, so you don’t end up doing something stupid which could lead to an unforgettable regrets. As the saying goes, “an idle mind is the devil’s workshop”. The earlier you free yourself from the devil’s workshop the better for you and the society at large. Be purpose driven in life, it could help you to be connected to the right people who will be happily ready to take you to a whole new level beyond your wildest imagination.

If you lack intrinsic motivation, learn to be extrinsically motivated or combine both together in order to achieve your dreams in life. Learn to be focused and take charge, do not wait to be inspired by others, be a source of inspiration to people. It’s only a lazy person that will keep complaining that there’s nothing else to do because all the jobs and businesses have been taken. What makes you think you cannot acquire a skill so you can in turn create a local business that could bring in multiple streams of income or cash flow? Being an employer will also bring hope to the unemployed within your local community, whereby making the world a better place to live in.

Lack of self discipline, uncontrolled emotions or affections could pull down your ambition and career and in the end, put you at the junction of hopelessness. If you must make progress in all aspects of life, look beyond your current location, Ask questions if you need to, do not be self sufficient, move forward and continually be exposed to various genuine opportunities all around you. There should be no room for idleness, think big and act big. Eric Thomas reveals that if you truly want to succeed as badly as you would like to breathe, then you will embrace success and you will also experience light at the end of the tunnel.

  3. … great write up… The illus at our father Abraham… Who against hope believed in hope…calling out those things that be not as though they were…he didn’t consider his own body dead at 100, neither considered the deadness of Sara’s womb at 95, in total obedience to God, he believed God on the platform of Hope…Rom. 4:1-23

In conclusion, what breathe is to our existence is what “hope” is to our very existence in our everyday life here on the earth.

    Thank you ma….. So inspiring!

  4. HOPE is indeed an innate power that has its base on FAITH and BELIEVE firstly, in yourself and then in other people. Little wonder the saying: “If you want to go fast, go alone but if you want to go far, go with somebody”.
NEVER you EVER give up! Remember this adage by Norman Pearl: “when the going gets tough, only the tough gets going”. Then why not be the TOUGH; the ACHIEVER; the WINNER?
